LAST CALL: Still Time to Join Team Elsie’s Rose at Run Bournemouth 2025

There’s still time to secure your place at one of the South Coast’s most spectacular running events while supporting families in crisis

With just weeks to go until Run Bournemouth 2025, there are still places available for runners wanting to take on the challenge while raising vital funds for Elsie’s Rose. The popular seaside running festival, taking place on October 11th and 12th, 2025, offers something for everyone – from seasoned marathoners to families with young children.

A Weekend Festival of Running by the Sea

Run Bournemouth promises ‘running as it should be’ with its stunning coastal route taking in both Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers, offering panoramic ocean views and a vibrant seaside atmosphere. The weekend festival includes:

Saturday, October 11th:

Kids’ Kilometre – for little ones aged 3-6 (with adult accompaniment)

Junior 1.5K – for runners aged 6-8

Junior 2K – for runners aged 9-12

Supernova 5K – a unique night-time race at dusk with head torches and fluorescent outfits

Sunday, October 12th:

Supersonic 10K – a flat and fast morning course perfect for setting a quick time

Bournemouth Half Marathon – 13.1 miles starting at 11:00am (timed so you can do both the 10K and Half Marathon for extra kudos!)

Perfect Conditions for Personal Bests

What makes Run Bournemouth special isn’t just the stunning scenery. The course is largely flat and fast, making it ideal for runners chasing personal bests. Previous participants rave about the event, with one runner noting “A fantastic half marathon with just one decent climb at 8 miles to break it up! Apart from that the course is flat and fast”.

The autumn timing allows perfect training conditions throughout spring and summer, making it an achievable goal for first-time half-marathon runners.
